Pandas and a slower afternoon

Visit Chengdu Panda Base early, then return to the city for tea in People’s Park. Leave the afternoon flexible instead of combining another long journey.

DAY 02

Temple courtyards and old streets

Walk through Wenshu Monastery and its neighbourhood, then browse Jinli Street. Choose your own stops for Sichuan food along the way.

DAY 03

Leshan Giant Buddha

Make a day trip to Leshan to see the Giant Buddha. The cliff walkway or river-view option will be chosen around opening conditions, queues and your preferred level of walking.
